Steven got a Jeep!

For as long as Steven and I have been together (11 years) he has always wanted a Jeep...and I made the fatal mistake of saying, "The day you work in town is the day you can get a Jeep," boy I'm eatting those words now. The day Steven started his job in town(June 30th) he has been on the hunt for a Jeep. He wanted an older Wrangler, he didn't care the color or anything else. I told him "Sell your civic and you can get one." He sold it in less than a week. I need to watch what I say...I have to admit though, it's a BLAST!

Fun at the Adam's farm

On Friday afternoon we went to my friend Crystal's house for supper, tractor rides and play time. The kids got along so well and we had a wonderful time, thanks Crystal and Paul!

Ethan, in his glory.

Paul took Ethan on a ride all by himself and actually let him drive the tractor and plow a field...he might just be a farmer someday :)

Today is Ethan's birthday. I can't believe just 6 short years ago I gave birth to my first son. He has been such a delight from day one. So full of life and energy. He warms up to anyone and will talk and make friends with anyone. He loves God, his family and life. I am one proud mama :)

Thanks brother!!!

I have the best older brother ever! He is so thoughtful and kind when it comes to special things. Growing up I always picked on him for his "drama" endeavors...and called him some not so nice names...so when Ethan tried out and made it in The Wizard of Oz I thought for sure I would get it back ten fold and guess what...I didn't! He was so proud that his nephew is following in his footsteps...I'm sure that's enough right there for him to get back at me. Haha. So...today in the mail I see a package from him and wonder what on earth it is...it is the most beautiful picture frame with 3 cut outs, 1 big and 2 smaller ones. In the big one is an award for Ethan for being in the play. An award...how cool is that?!?!? The kids helped him pick out all the stuff for it and help decorate and make it. It's awesome! I can't even thank them enough for it. I love you guys!!! Thanks again brother!!! You're awesome!

Mia

My friend Mia is moving from Wisconsin to Washington and I am right on the way so she, her mom Karen and her son Connor stopped for supper last night. It was way too short of a visit but she had to make it to Bismarck, ND as her final resting place for the night to keep on track. It was wonderful to see them and I'm so glad they stopped. Thanks guys!

Rodeo time!

Last Friday Heather and I needed some "sister time" as Ethan called it so I skipped being backstage mom for one night and we went to the Rodeo in town. It was fun and interesting all at the same time, but anything Heather and I do together is fun and interesting :)

Wizard of Oz cast party on the lake!

this is how I spent my Sunday...

Saturday night was the LAST showing of The Wizard of Oz, and let me tell you how happy we all are that it's over! As a final goodbye, we were invited to a beautiful home on the lake to celebrate the shows end and just relax after a full summer of hard work. It was an amazing day and Ethan really enjoyed himself. All the girls love him and bless his heart he has no clue, lol! After spending my entire summer with these kids, I have really grown to enjoy them and their company as well. What an awesome group of kids they are.
