Ethan told me, "Mom, I know this is going to be an emotional day for you, but...you could PLEASE not cry today?!?!"

NOT ME! Monday

Here's the latest edition of NOT ME! Monday that I so graciously borrowed from MckMama :)

-We did NOT go camping a few weeks ago to Itasca where it POURED rain and where I was so unbearable that I couldn't even stand myself...not me, I'm so pleasant ALL the time.

-I did NOT get paint all over the hardwood floors in our boys bedroom when we painted it last weekend because I make sure the towels I'm using don't already have paint on them and because I am always a super careful painter.

-I did NOT hear Ethan call Abram an "idiot" and when asked where he heard that from he responded, "From you mom, you call people that all the time!" Is he kidding me? I never would say such a thing about people...

-I did NOT write a mile long "honey-do" list for Steven in preparation of his sisters week long visit that starts tomorrow...Not me, I would have done it all myself!

-I do NOT cry every time I see the picture of Abram and I kissing that my sister recently took during our photo shoot, it doesn't pull on my heart strings one bit...nope, not at all...I'm stronger than that!

-I didn't cry when my dear co-worker & friend told me she was quitting...remember I'm strong, I DON'T CRY...my mascara would run people, sheesh!

-I have NOT felt overwhelmed, stressed, tired and worn down for the past few weeks, NOT me...because I get a full 8 hours of sleep each night and have the perfect diet and kids!

-I am NOT excited about my kids starting school next week, NOT ME...the summer's been so perfect with incredible summer weather(Ha!) and the last week my kids have been such great listeners I'd be sad to see them in school all day.

-I did NOT threaten to leave my kids at the next location we went to for being such naughty, I'm mean great kids and listening so well to me...no way, I'm the worlds greatest mom with the best kids EVER!

-I did NOT tell the teenage grocery store clerk last Friday afternoon that "I just got rid of my kids!" Oh I would never say such a thing, she might need to call CPS on me!
-I did NOT refer to "The District of Columbia" to a customer as "The District of Chlamydia" today at work...NOT me, I always speak with such eloquence.

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful the Lord chose ME to be this boys mother.

I'm thankful the Lord knew exactly who I was suppose to marry. I'm thankful for very healthy, happy, handsome sons.
and I'm thankful most of all for my family, they complete me.
I am thankful for Heather and her talent to be able to capture my family in these amazing photos, my heart melts when I see them. Thank you HH :)

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...

there were 2 really cool boys who got an awesome Star Wars bedroom...
thanks to their not so bad parents (and grandparents).

the boys on their bedding :)

That is Ethan's Jedi training certificate from Disneyland on his dresser.
the finished product.

For the boys' birthdays we re-did their Jungle room into a Star Wars room. They went to the lake with my parents for a few days and we surprised them with this when they got home. They freaked...they were SOOOO excited, very thankful and grateful!

We love the way it turned out!
