Thumper Pond

Last Sunday Ethan's 4H hosted a "swim your winter blues away" at a local reosrt/waterpark for $5. There was NO way we were passing this up. Ethan is such an easy going kid, he pretty much did his own thing and made some new friends. The place was packed but Abram did really well and kept begging Grandmom to "take him to the hot pool." It was FABULOUS and we had a wonderful time!!! Thanks mom for coming!

Pinewood Derby

This is Ethan's first year in Scouts. He is a Tiger Cub. Steven is the den leader, by default...no other dad's stepped up to do it, so Steven did! Thanks babe!!!

Last Thursday was the annual Pinewood Derby car race. Steven and Ethan worked on his car while I was in Texas. They had fun working on it together and watching it race at the derby. Ethan's car didnt place, but he was ok with that, there's always next year!

Brenda's wedding

Last Friday my dear friend Brenda that I have known since elementary school got married. I was so excited to go to her wedding and see her. She lives on 5 gorgeous acres in central Texas with lots of animals and places to roam. Four other of our girlfriends also from elementary and middle school came too. The dynamic of our friendship(s) is like no other. Brenda also had a baby shower while we were all there...she is expecting TWIN boys in late June...Eeeekkkk!!! I'm so EXCITED!!!I had an amazing and well needed time away.

Wow...I can't believe just 12 short years ago I watched you come into this world. You have grown into such a beautiful and well mannered young lady...as long as you dont have too much sugar and little sleep :) We love who you are becoming and the wise choices you are making. I pray that you always make the right choices and decisions for your life. The boys LOVE having Retta over to babysit and so do I. May this last year of your tween years be incredible. Love you!!!

On Friday, my dear friend Brenda is getting married in Texas. I am SO excited to be able to go and support her and to see some of our other friends coming from CA. We have all been friends since elementary school,

One last Christmas post...

Each Christmas all the kids act out the Nativity Story complete with costumes, lines and acting. They do such a wonderful job. This year there was a Jedi among the group...weird I know but hey, he's 3 and he's Abram.
