Out like a lion...

Ok seriously...Sunday, there was not a trace of snow on the ground and I was SO ready for spring, but today...we got about 14" of lovely snow today! School was once again cancelled and Steven's store never opened. On the plus side...I had an entire day with my family...doing nothing! We ate, took naps, played games, watched movies...it was fabulous! Steven spent a good portion of the day shoveling our driveway and walks as well as the neighbor who got stuck at the bottom of his driveway. March came in like a lion and is leaving like a lion!

Grrrr! I WANT SPRING!

this very nice neighbor saw Steven and Steve hand shoveling and offered to do our entirely too long driveway with his tractor blower, what a kind man!

Steven doing the front walkway.

from my back door at around noon.

a view of Steven's sad BBQ, he felt bad for him so we grilled hot dogs for lunch. :)

And my sweet Ethan outside with his daddy.

Not Me Monday~Stellan Style

In honor of MckMama and Stellan...

I did not chat with my sister last night on Facebook for over an hour trying to decide how we could come up with Stellan's name in an original way, like no one else has.

I did not chat with my sister in law about the pain we are both sharing over Stellan's condition and how we feel like we really know MckMama.

I did not make my husband read MckMama's I'm tired post last night and make him talk about it.

I did not pray for Stellan and MckMama a thousand times today, not me!

I did not stare at the Pray for Stellan picture on MckMama's blog and just wish he were all better...RIGHT.NOW!

I did not want to hold Stellan today, nope not at all or kiss him, not me!

I did not want to hug MckMama either because those that know me, know I'm not a hugger.

I did not check her blog many times today, nope not me, I was at work.

And...I did not want anyone to know how I am feeling about this today either!

What a weekend...

The NessNest enjoyed one of the best weekends ever!
Saturday morning the boys *kinda* let Steven and I sleep in before Steven got up and prepared an amazing breakfast. Then we got ready and headed to The Prairie Wetlands Learning Center for Marsh Madness. They had activities and demonstrations about ducks, swans and hunting dogs. The boys made a bird house and some other things. The boys got to meet a hunting dog named Rowdy who was awesome and then the boys went through a burrow. After PWLC we took the boys to see Monsters vs. Aliens...the kids loved it! For supper Steven grilled two different kinds of steaks, and potatoe packets(potatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, special seasonings and cheese...wrapped in foil and grilled...DELISH...these were awesome!) Then we went for a chilly walk around the lake and stopped for ice cream on the way home. The boys rented a Wii game and played that 'till 9pm, way past bedtime!
Today...we went to church, then to BK for lunch and let the boys play in the tubes. Then to Target, got a coffee and home to do chores. The quicker we got our chores done the sooner we could go play. After chores we loaded up the JD Tractors and headed to the bike trail. The boys enjoyed riding while Steven and I enjoyed walking and running, yes running with them. Came home, took down the Christmas lights(after all it is 40 degrees today), finished up laundry and had pizza for supper. Now the boys are enjoying the Wii rental before the week starts and they can't play it, Wii is only for the weekends in The NessNest. All in all I couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Thanks Babe for an incredible weekend!

Oh for cute!

For my birthday in January my mother-in-law made me this apron and I love it! When she was here last August we went to my local quilt shop and I picked out the fabric and pattern...the colors match my kitchen(yellow and red of course). I love that it's reversable too...Oh I just love aprons...and to cook ;)

Puerto Rico

Steven and I had an AMAZING time in Puerto Rico. The weather was always 80 degrees, (24 hours a day) with a nice breeze. The food was awesome, the resort was beautiful and the hardest decision I had all week was whether to lay out by the pool or on the beach...
On our way to supper.

A view of the resort from the lobby right as you walk in the hotel.
