We have lived here for almost 5 years now and just today we decided to head out to a near by bike trail for a ride. The path was beautiful and Ethan and I got to ride ahead and soak up our surroundings while Steven stayed behind with Abram on his TRICYCLE! I told Steven to bring the bike trailer and he insisted Abram wanted to ride his own bike...I'm sure he did, but come on man! So, needless to say the end of the ride was disasterous with Abram on my shoulders while I walked next to my bike at the same time I was balancing Abram's tricycle on the handle bars while Steven waited ever so patiently back at the van for his wife and youngest child to arrive. I was fit to be tied to say the least. As the sweat ran down my entire body and my shoulders were burning from 25lbs of kid, I never wanted to see bikes again! Of course we'll go ride on the trail again, I dont stay mad too long, but next time we *ARE* bringing the bike trailer!!!
I forgot my camera so no pictures this time, but next time for sure!

I think I would stay mad for a while. I would probably cut off my nose to spite my face on that one. But in the end, realistically, you will be back on the trail in no time. You're one of those nice forgivng people :) Keep up the good work.
I am curious how you ended up with Abram, the tricycle and your bike all by yourself? We rode that bike trail for the first time this summer, and I ended up with Emma, Caleb and Emma's bike on my bike trailer-life saver!!!
Charlene, The reason I had Abram is b/c Steven was being a poop and getting upset at Abram so I told him to ride with Ethan thinking when they got to the van he would load up and come rescue me but NO....I think he thought we were enjoying our ride back...GRRRR!!!!
UGH! Hats off to you for managing that!
That happens to use EVERYTIME so I have boycotted going for awhile.
Please no bike rides while I'm there. See you tomorrow.
(((hugs))) at least you know for next time!
Oh man, I would have been so mad!
Oh my goodness! I read this story over the phone to Brenda L- we both laughed - and I gave her the rendition you gave verbally yesterday too- Too funny - and SO MUCH the "way things go"... She and I both want to get together with you soon- go out to eat or something - I think we'd all have a blast!
I loved this story when you told it to me on the phone....absolutely hilarious!!! I'll bet Steven won't argue about the bike trailer next time!!!
